A lot is going on in my life. . .

Well, with this second job I have been running like crazy. . .hope to make it at least 6 months - wanna make that money. . . :)

A lot has happened since I last posted. . .

Bud broke his thumb on September 7th in our game against Crooked Oak (HE PLAYED SO AWESOME!) and has we took him to Oklahoma City to see a doctor - on September 13th he had 2 pins placed in his thumb. . .I will have to get the x-rays scanned and posted on here. . .not near as bad as the toenail pic. . . :) - I love you guys! ! !

Last Friday, the 14th Scoop turned 16. . .he also had to step up after the kid that they put in to replace Bud got injured (as expected) to play quarterback. . .Mom and Dad are really proud. . .not that it was all Scoop but the team seemed to play better as a whole and did not allow our opposing team to score on us any more. . .We had Scoop's birthday party on the 15th evening - Monday, September 17th Scoop passed his driving test and has taken off in his Mustang. . .really a wierd feeling. . .as bad as when Bud drove off for the first few times!

This week is Football Homecoming and yes once again I am involved in making the mums and garters. . .Also, the senior parents are responsible for serving the football team dinner - luckily we have 10 senior boys and everyone has stepped up - we are serving brisket, mashed tators and gravy, corn on the cob, salad, rolls, baked beans, brownies, water and lemonade. . .I took the easy way out this meal - beings I am helping with 3 this year. . .I am doing the water and lemonade. . .

Scoop will start as quarterback Friday night against one of our biggest rivals. . .Bud has been working with him and assuring Birddog and I that he is looking really good and will do fine - even tho he really wants to be on the field himself. . .

I plan to visit you all soon. . .I have been working and chasing football so give me some time. . .but I will be there! ! !

Remember to take some time for yourself. ;) Even if it is just a bubble bath to relax. :)

So proud of your young ones...but they are growing up too fast!

It's Homecoming Week here, too - and the kiddo is wearing her first mum. Sigh.
