On the road again. . .
Just can't wait to get on the road again! ! !
We are off to Alva, Oklahoma tonight. . .YeHaw! They are one of the Chisholm's biggest rivals and I sure hope that we win! ! !
Just pray for the kids to play a good game, have fun and no one gets hurt. . .
Then we may be off to Pampa, Texas (Birddog's birthplace) in the morning. . .They are having an 80th Birthday party for Birddog's uncle. We had not planned on going but his aunt called last night and put us both on a guilt trip. . .Birddog was a little upset when he got off the phone. . ."I'm 40 years old, and now they are worried about family stuff?", he said. . .Birddog has never been close to his family and a lot of that is due to his mother. . .So, I don't know as of yet if we are making a dash to Texas or not. . .It's in his hands. . .

I would encourage him to go.
His Uncle may have fond memories of Birddog as a child --- and it might be something that touches him to have him there.
It's never wrong to go to a family event. It would be good for the boys, too. Especially if they haven't had much exposure to that side of the clan.

Ugh...I hope the Longhorns are faring better than the Bearcats. We are down 35-7 in the 4th quarter. Our second team quarterback was injured in the first half and we are now using our third team QB.
Final score: 38-7 :(
