YUCK!
Yesterday afternoon I FINALLY got Bud into the doctor for his ingrown toenail (that is infected). . .
We went to a new doctor and I was impressed. . . He told Bud that he didn't know how he played football with that toe looking like that - he said it had to hurt like Hell. . . Then he asked Bud if he knew how to cut his nails and Bud told him. . .Doc said, "I bet you just tear the nail off don't you" and Bud answered yes - Doc said, "I do to but after seeing that I think I'll practice what I preach." . .

The doctor put him on Penicillin for a week and on November 17th he is getting it cut off. . .Yeee OUCH!
Doctor is also sending him to Physical Therapy for his shoulder for 2 weeks. . . He told Bud that he would think that was okay because some of the girls there were pretty cute. . . :)
On another note, Scoop had his first Basketball practice yesterday and did great! ! ! Y E S!

OH! OW!! pheeeww....that is one nasty toe!! I hope he recovers quickly...I've also heard soaking in warm water helps....

Doc said that he will be ready to get back at practice on the following Monday (20th). . .
We have been soaking in Epsom salt and almost hot water. . .It does help. . .

My daughter had toenails that looked like that years ago and the doctor removed both toenails. She was actually born with a slightly infected ingrown toenail... inherited it I guess...I certainly wasn't trimming her toenails before she was born.

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe you put that picture on line!! Thanks for checking up on me. I was sick all last week and last weekend with a horrible, hideous, yucky stomach virus. I have never thrown up so much in my life!! But the toe didn't bother me so I must be well!!

oh my that is bad how painfull is that! had both my big toe nails and beds removed years ago, so i know what pain he must be in and to continue playing football ouch ouch ouch
Her Indoors - I tried and tried to get him to get it taken care of before now but he wouldn't do it. . .I hate that it has gotten this bad! Sure hope that this procedure will CURE IT for good. . .
LOL!! Thank you!! I had to bust your chops a bit! It was funny because I had busted my toe and I actually considered taking a pic and posted it, then said..naw...and both you and Robin posted toes!! Too funny!
Oh holy shit I think I just threw up.
It was one of those "don't look don't look don't look" type trainwreck type things and I looked and now my stomach is literally turning.

LOL. . .It's looking much better. . .The Amoxicillin has really kicked in. . .Guess I need to get a pic of it now before they do whatever it is that they do (cut the nail off?).
