I AM SOOOOO PROUD!

Bud came in this evening and informed Birddog and I that he has been selected to play in the All-Conference Basketball Game Monday night. . .This is a GREAT honor and we are Really, Really proud of him. . . .

On another note, one of us will miss Bud's deview at the game while he is missing a scheduled Baseball game. . .Scoop will be playing Baseball so one of us will be at the baseball game. . .Scoop has also told us that he will probably be starting on the Varsity team for at least the first two games due to injuries, ineligibility's and Bud being gone. . .

Sure don't like it when we have conflicts - but am so glad that we can both support the boys. . .

This season is going to be toooo cooool! ! ! We will actually get to sit in one place and watch both the boys play! :)

My Blogging Environment

Finally! This has been one hectic day - everything I've had scheduled has been turned upside down and inside out. . . That's okay - we all need excitement in our lives - right?

No, you're not seeing double. Yes, you do see two computers and two TV's. . .Now, the two computers are due to my Flash Program not working on my computer at this blogging station. . .so, brought the other one in because our Wireless router has been giving us fits. . .UG, told you that my world has been upside down. . .lol









The two TV's are due to having an ethernet cable hooked to our router station and Bud and Scoop wanting to play games online with their Playstation - so we have two TV's - one for Birddog and I to watch and one for the boys to play their games until we get something else figured out. . .
You've made a 360 from my blogging corner in the living room. . .Nothing exciting. . .

I'd like to have a study too! We have hopes of making Bud's room the study/office and building him a room in part of the attic. . .But it all takes time and money. . .so, it will be a little while longer. . .


This is where the other computer belongs and, hopefully it will be put back here tonight. . .I have WAY TO MUCH CLUTTER going on right now. . .

Let Your Curious Teenagers Watch This!

Rootin' Tootin'! ! !

Okay my blogging friends, the Longhorns have made it to the third round in District Playoffs - unfortunately, the Ladyhorns are done. . .

Last night we played a BIG rivalry team and won 57 to 54. . .They darn near tied it tho - - 3 seconds left - one ref turned his back to watch the clock the other watched the ball. . .Close, close - before the kid dribbling down got the ball out of his hands the ref was blowing his whistle calling NO SHOT. . .It's a good thing! The ball SWOOSHED the net. . .We almost wound up in overtime!

Bud had me on the edge of my seat. . .2 fouls in the first quarter. . .He sat out for a bit and got another foul in the 2nd quarter but I thought he had broke his arm. . .He HIT the floor and layed their a couple of seconds. . .HE NEVER DOES THAT! ! ! Man, o man!

He fouled out with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. . .boy he played hard. . .

This afternoon we play another BIG RIVALRY to move on to Area Playoff next week. . .Alva. . .I've talked about them before. . .It will be a VERY physical ball game. . .(I don't know how much more physical Bud can take - he's bruised all over!). . .But I know that our boys can WIN. . .They just have to keep gelin. . . . :)


The boys teams have not made it this far in playoffs in several years. . .Please do some rootin' and tootin' for them this afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

Happy Anniversary Birddog! ! !

I will be back to post pictures once I get them scanned. . .but don't expect anything elaborate (Birddog and I eloped). . .

Today, Birddog and I celebrate 21 years of married life. . .and, we've been and "Item" for 25. . .There have been ups and downs, but I wouldn't change any of it! We have made some absolutely wonderful memories!

We were married 3 1/2 years before we had Bud. . .Just 10 months after we bought our first house. . . :) We had Scoop 26 months after Bud. . .And have played the roles of mommy and daddy ever since.

So here is to the man of my life! ! ! Happy Anniversary!

What A Week

I have got to quit trying to play SuperMom!

This week was absolutely C-R-A-Z-Y! I had quizzes, tests, homework, housework, ball games, and work - - - PLUS After-Prom stuff to do. . .I HAVE TO LEARN TO START SAYING "NO". . .I have been going strong for 2 weeks - something every day and night and need-less-to-say it caught up. . .

With Bud being a Junior this year the class parents are responsible for hosting After Prom. . .This month we have had 2 fundraisers - We held a Bake Sale at the beginning of the month that was just totally awesome! And, one which included Valentine's. . .Sunday 3 of us used the High School Cafeteria and baked cookies. . .Sunday afternoon several of us got together and put together the Valentines - Wednesday morning BrenBren and I blew up balloons and finished those off that had ordered them and then we spent the day delivering them to the Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. . .I never dreamed it would take us sooooo long! ! ! Thank Goodness I have flexible hours and work for some wonderful guys!

We have solicited businesses here for monetary donations or gifts to give away to the kids that attend. . .Seems like every day I think of a business and will call BrenBren to see if a parent signed up to solicit it. . .we did this to avoid hitting people up more than once. . .I thought it was a really good idea.

If any of you wonderful people have ideas for After Prom money raising or activities, please let me know. . . This year we are holding After Prom at the YMCA which will be new and different from what they have done the past couple of years. . .We are saving money and will be able to give the kids a lot nicer gifts.

On top of contacting businesses for After Prom donations - both the boys brought home Football fundraisers - UG. . .I understand that the coaches are trying to help us as parents save money - but I HATE ASKING PEOPLE FOR MONEY and when do my boys have time to do this? Bud starts Basketball District playoffs tonight - Thursday Regional playoffs start and Scoop is full-swing into Baseball now. And, get this - Bud will play baseball too and the first baseball game is scheduled for March 2nd - if the High School makes it through Regional playoffs (pray and cross your fingers!), Area will be March 1-3. . .

Once May hits - I wanna VACATION!

It's Finally Back Home

Wow! It has been 6 l-o-n-g months since that lady hit Bud and JJ. . .( Repair Begins : Repair Cont. ) I BET YOU ALL FORGOT! ! ! :) - Don't blame ya - it's been a L-O-N-G time. Bud and I both had to learn patience!

O V E R L O O O A A A D D D D. . .

I think right now I am suffering from an overload of events going on in my regular routine. . .

Today seems to be especially bad - we refinanced our house and I feel like a real dumbA$@ because I didn't look over paperwork better and things weren't like they started out. . .So, today I WAS VERY UPSET. . .I called Birddog at work and told him what had happened. . .He is good support, but there are times I wish he would relieve me of some of this stuff. . .I have tried for years to give him the checkbook and let him pay the bills, etc. - but "NO" I get to do it - so when things like today happen - I feel like it is all my fault - even tho I know he could ask questions too. . .

Like I said, I think I'm just feeling the overload of events. . .We have been going full speed ahead for the last 3 weeks. . .Between the boys tournaments, craziness at work, After Prom, school, and never-ending housework I am beside myself! This week is basketball homecoming - so guess what? - We made MUMS and GARTERS again. . .Not too many this time. . . .I'm going to suggest fazzing them out. . .We don't sell them - so is it really worth it? I like them for the boys - but in all reality - what are they going to do with them?

By the time Sunday rolls around we will have been to 5 basketball games this week.. . I have one instructor that EVERY D@$N class she assigns homework and it isn't that it's hard - it's TIME CONSUMING (which I have very little of). . .I hate my Telecommunications class and am still asking myself what I was thinking taking that one - - - and now I have not one but TWO, yes TWO, instructors for my Advanced Entrepreneurship class that is now going to be a pain where I sit. . .Oh, well, I'll just have to deal with it and pray for the best. . .

Sorry, folks, I just had to vent somewhere other than at Birddog or the boys. . .

Today is my feel sorry for myself day - I am allowed those occasionally right?
