Can Somebody Help Me?
As you can see, I'm trying to change my look. . .So far, so good - but, I would like to change my sub-heading under my S.O.S. to be bold and would like my sports to be italic. . .Can someone tell me how to do that? I do one thing and it changes all kinds of things. . .LOL . . .
Thanks! ! !

Homcoming Week
Bet you all thought I had disappeared! I've been running around like crazy trying to get mums and garters made, helping the boys with their class floats, and on top of that making sure that they have what they need for dress up the next day - lol. . .
It is so fun to watch the kids through Homecoming Week. . .Brings back so many memories. . .
This is the first year that Bud has gotten into the spirit of dress up days. . .So far he has done the Camo day (that wasn't hard) and today is color day and him and a group of boys is dressing up, how would I say this, baggy style. . My friend, SDG, sent me the finished photo. . .LOL - The Junior class color was pink. . .These boys are to silly. . .can you see their magnetic earrings?.
We made several mums this year. . .this one is mine. I saw the braiding on the net and decided to go buy the ribbon and do my own. . .I like to be different. . .LOL - that's not hard. . .
These are the rest of the mums. . .the Senior's got braids on their mums also. . .Each mum is different because we paint the players name on the ribbon and usually Go Horns with their jersey number. . .It's really fun to do them. . .Every one of them has trinkets hanging down and, of course, that's pretty hard to duplicate. . .
These are for 2 little girls. . .one of them is for one of the football coaches little girl (Rae Rae) - she is my little girl - cute as a button. . .And, the other is for one of the cheerleaders little sisters - she is a cutie too! She does cheers with the girls - just adorable. . .
These are our garters, for those that don't want the big ole mum hanging from their chest, lol. . . I made JJ's and hers is different than these too - I put a ribbon with Bud's name on it for her. . .
Tonight is our Homecoming Parade. . .It's nice living where we do, because we walk down to the end of the street and they go by. . .Then I have time to walk over to the park to watch them in front of the judges. . .They have a pep rally, cook hamburgers and the Senior football moms feed the team. . .It's really nice. . .
So, if you don't hear from me the rest of the week - you know I'm out cheering for the Team. . .Go Longhorns! ! !

What a Trip
We made our mad dash to Pampa this weekend. . .We made a lot of people happy by showing up. . .Which in turn made me feel really good. . .
Our trip started off late due to getting in so late from the ballgame. . .and, then we got held up because Birddog got stopped. . .ur. . .he got lucky tho and the officer was nice and didn't write the ticket for as much as it could have been. . .
Now, some of the people (mostly elderly) were a little stunned when Bud walked in with his mohawk. . .I thought it was pretty funny. . .he's a good kid and they all found that out - and they were tickled when they heard how the mohawk came into play. . .then they started talking about the time Birddog's daddy took him to town for a haircut and brought him back with a mohawk. . .
Birddog has an aunt that is 91 years old and still gets up every day and goes to work. . .She owns a flower shop and is so sweet. . .She is Birddog's mother's aunt and we talked a little bit about his mom and I explained that it had been almost 3 years since Birddog had spoke to his mom and she flat informed me that I was not to force him to call her. . .I assured her that whatever Birddog did concerning his mother was in his hands. . .and his decision. . .It is because of Birddog's mom that Birddog doesn't know his family in Pampa and this aunt is the SWEETEST THING! ! ! It's a sad deal. . .
Besides the 4 younger kids, Birddog and I were the next youngest there - so that should tell you something. . . .Bud and Scoop were not quite prepared for all the hugging and kissing from the little old ladies, but they got through it. . .We got a good laugh from our 6'2" son talking about the little ladies pinching his cheeks. . .
I'm glad we made the trip and my boys (all of them) got to meet and get to know a little bit more about each other. . .

I don't like going to Alva
Final: ALVA 53, CHISHOLM 16
Over the years I have learned that when we drive to Alva for a game, more than likely we are going to lose. . .I have seen so many bad calls over the years that it isn't even funny. . .Last night was just another to add to the list of them.
Now, Alva does have a good football team don't get me wrong. . .But how do you fumble a ball after the player is already down? First few minutes of the game. . .If you look at the stats below, they had tons and tons of penalties. . .and that's only the ones that they called. . .Would you like to know what they mostly are? Hitting in the back, unsportsmanlike conduct, and facemask. . .IT WAS HORRIBLE. . .I have seen a lot of cheap shots but our whole game was filled with them and if I was seeing them - IT WAS OBVIOUS - I'm usually the one asking what happened. . .
What makes this even worse was the fact that in one play alone WE HAD 3 PLAYERS DOWN - hurt! ! ! Every time Bud got the ball I would just cringe and tell him to hurry up and get rid of it (under my breath). . .He had his bell rung a few times and one of the trainers told me to ice his elbow when we got home. . .great. . .I'll be checking that out this morning. . .
Bud had a good game and I'm not the coach, but I think our score might have been higher if we had had more of a passing game. . .but, I probably ought to watch what I say because Bud could have really been hurt too. . .
The kids that go to school there made rude, nasty comments to one of the coaches wives (they didn't know she was the coaches wife) and she had a 2 year old walking with her. . .Then she went to the concession stand (which is on the home side) and their fans asked here why she was on their side! ! I DIDN'T SPEND A PENNY ON ANYTHING THERE EXCEPT MY WAY IN THE GATE. . .They can forget that! ! ! I know that I was never happier when a game was over and it wasn't just because we lost. . .

On the road again. . .
Just can't wait to get on the road again! ! !
We are off to Alva, Oklahoma tonight. . .YeHaw! They are one of the Chisholm's biggest rivals and I sure hope that we win! ! !
Just pray for the kids to play a good game, have fun and no one gets hurt. . .
Then we may be off to Pampa, Texas (Birddog's birthplace) in the morning. . .They are having an 80th Birthday party for Birddog's uncle. We had not planned on going but his aunt called last night and put us both on a guilt trip. . .Birddog was a little upset when he got off the phone. . ."I'm 40 years old, and now they are worried about family stuff?", he said. . .Birddog has never been close to his family and a lot of that is due to his mother. . .So, I don't know as of yet if we are making a dash to Texas or not. . .It's in his hands. . .
Yea! It's Friday! ! !

Where Has This Week Gone?
Wowzers! It's already Thursday. . .I don't feel like I've been blogging like normal. . .what's up?
Guess this week being full of tests has me a messed up. . .Just a busy time. . .Next week is Football Homecoming and, of course, I'm right in the middle of making the Homecoming mums. . .The last 2 years we had Longhorn heads that we put on them - this year we are going to use pipe-cleaners and form CHS letters and have gotten red and white mums instead of plain white. . .I'll have to take pics for you to see. . .I'm ready to get them done. . .It's fun to do them, but a pain also because "Farmer" isn't much of a help. . .She refuses (I think she's afraid she'll mess something up) to glue or paint anything. . .LOL
Each High School class is working on their floats too. . .So, Bud is going on way and Scoop the other. . .Scoop has told me all about their float and him and his dad get to go out and get one of our deer stands to use. . .Bud doesn't even know what their float is going to be, or he hasn't said anything, but last year Bud's class won the float contest. . . It was pretty funny - the Junior and Senior classes were both mad. . . Scoop's class, Freshmen, have a really cool idea and from the way it was described to me, all the upper classes better look out - Freshmen could take the contest this year. . .Guess I should take pics of that too - LOL The Homecoming theme this year is, "Shsh, We're hunting Tigers." All the floats should be interesting. . .I will say one thing tho, I have yet to see a float made like we made them when I was in school in Colorado. . .We used chicken wire and colored napkins and formed shapes, etc. . .Here - the only thing I've seen is poster board, paper, wood, etc. to make the float. . .
Tomorrow night, we travel to one of our biggest rivals for football. . .We all dislike going to this town because it always seems like your playing the team and the officials - and I mean in every sport you play them! So, wish us luck! ! ! And, for once the local newspaper didn't rub into the ground how many times the Longhorns have lost. . .it was actually decent.
Have an Totally awesome Thursday! ! !

Road to Recovery . . . gonna be long
It's hard to believe that it's been 15 days since Scoop had his surgery. . .Went to the doctor this morning and everything is looking great. . .
We had a nurse we didn't know this morning and she removed his stiches. . .he wasn't real sure about that - but made it through just the same. . .made a couple of really funny faces (wish I had a camera phone). . .LOL
In 2 weeks he will be able to put about 40 pounds of pressure on his leg. . .Then the following week he can add another 10 pounds I believe. . .and so on. . .
Doc said from the x-rays taken today that the new bone is fusing in just fine and it looks really good. . .Yeah! ! !

I survived!
The football game Friday night was a hard one to sit through. . .Bud got pounded! ! ! I told Birddog, "I can't watch Bud, I have to watch the football." My stomach was turning knots. . .Birddog would tell me how Bud would get tacked (creamed). . .Coaches really need to work on the line. . .Farmer and her hubby told me that they watched film after the game with coaches and said they had nothing but good things to say about Bud's QB performance. . .That really made me feel good. . .
For Scoop's birthday we had 10 teenage boys here for a Madden/Poker party. . .Wow! It got loud! ! ! The party was 4 hours long and trust me, it was a FULL 4 hours! ! !LOL. . .Scoop and one of his buddies had put together a fantasy team for Madden and were beatin' the tar out of the opposing teams. . .Finally, Bud pulled the plug on that - the game was going on for what seemed forever. . .It was pretty funny, because they only played Poker for about 30 minutes and were right back at the Madden game. . .We actually had 2 TV's and 2 Playstations set up and had 2 games going at once. . .
By the time 11 rolled around I was ready for some quiet. . .When 11:30 hit there was still one kiddo here that had not been invited to stay the night. . .I asked Scoop what was going on and he had no idea. . .12 hit and he was still here. . .Well, he lives in a small community about 20 minutes from where we live and told Scoop that I wasn't taking him home so he would just have to stay. . .I didn't get rid of that one until 4 Sunday afternoon! Actually, it didn't surprise me - everything is like that with his mother. . .Pretty aggrevating and sad for the kiddo because everyone knows that anything done with him will be messed up somehow and it usually is late or her not showing up. . .Oh well, we got through it, no harm done. . .
Haven't posted updates on Bud's truck because they are in the process of rebuilding the front end and putting new bushings in. . .Birddog says it will be like a whole new truck. . .Hmmmm. . .wouldn't it be with a new paint job????? LOL Hoping to get it to Mr. Hankey (our painter friend) within the next week or so. . .I'M READY and Bud is starting to Bite and the Bit pretty regular. . .
Dove season is here and my boys haven't been out yet - which is rather unusual. . .the truck and football really have us hooked to the plow and Scoop is throwing a fit. . .Maybe this weekend. . .

Scoop is 15 Today!
Wow! My BABY is 15 years old today. . .So, so hard to believe. . .
15 years ago at 12:33 a.m. Scoop came into this world and surprised Birddog and I. . .We thought Scoop was going to be an Amber. . .We didn't know the sex of the baby and because my pregnancy was so different we both just knew we were going to have a little girl. . .one of each. . .LOL
NOT! ! ! We had another beautiful baby boy. . .Wouldn't he cringe if he knew I just called him beautiful? LOL
I can remember not knowing if my parents were making the 1 1/2 hour drive and wondering what we should do - they had Bud. . .Then, I heard this other sweet little voice - "Momma baby!" I was so excited - my family was now 4 and I was out numbered by males. . .and still am. . .hehe - wouldn't change it for anything. . .
Birddog and I often tease that if we had had Scoop first we don't know if we would have had any more kids. . .I doubt it. . .he is so adventureous with absolutely NO FEAR. . .
God knew what he was doing when he blessed us with 2 boys. . .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOOP!

Crazy Week
I've been lost! ! ! My goodness, there are so many things to do this week. . .but I guess this week in September is always a busy one. . .
Monday night Scoop and I went out and watched the JV game. . .Boy it was hard to sit and watch without either of the boys playing. . .
Scoop will turn 15 on Thursday. . .he was going to have a manhunt (big kids Hide-n-Seek) party but since he can't run we are now going to have a Poker/Madden '07 party - Saturday night. . .So far he has invited 12 boys. . .HELP ME! ! ! ! ! ! LOL, not really - the boys are usually a lot of fun. . .Loud, but fun. . .
Friday night I will be celebrating my birthday at a home football game. . .I have my chairs and plan on sitting as close to the sidelines as possible. . .Bud is pumped up and ready to go. . .
I've had lots of homework so haven't been able to blog like I've wanted to. . . Scoop's first day back at school went well, he was pooped out when he got him from carrying himself all over on the crutches. . .Today, he is going on a Student Council trip and he's a little worried about getting around there. . .He will be fine - he's a tough kid. . .One thing about it, we don't have to tell him much more that twice now to get his rump in bed. . .LOL
It's hump day, thank goodness, the weekend won't get here soon enough. . .My instructors are all starting to talk tests which means - here we go - get my nose in the books. . .
Have a good day! ! !

Football Update · My MOST EMBARRASSING Moment
Hey Everyone! Boy what a weekend. . .Friday we got to take off Scoop's bandage and he was sure surprised! His incision looks like a little scratch. . .Pretty cool, just put some Neosporin on it and cover it up with a regular sized bandaid. . .
Scoop gets to go back to school today. . .I think he's a little worried about getting around, but I know he will be fine. . .I will be subbing at the High School today so momma will be there if he needs me - LOL. . .
Our game Friday night turned out to be a lose - 26-6. . .But that's okay. . .the boys made a lot of mistakes. . .on-the-other hand they did a lot of good things too. . .Bud had 2 passes get intercepted - and 1 of them was their first possession and play of the game. . .bummer dude!
That's okay - Birddog and I are still proud of the way Bud played. . .After the game there were 3 boys that were crying and I'll tell you what - I get really mad at them for doing that. . .Maybe I'm mean, but I believe if you give 100% then you have NOTHING to hang your head about. . .I would really get after my boys if they ever cried because they lost a game. . .Sorry if you disagree. . .
Also, M J - Friday night was my most embarrassing moment! Birddog and I had saved seats on the 50 yard line - always. . .won't be anymore. My parents came and Birddogs dad and stepmother came. . .the rest of our group didn't make it to the game. . .There was a, sorry Songbird, Cheerleaders mom sitting on the front row right in front of where my parents were. . .Every DAMN play the woman would get up and start taking pictures. . .COULDN'T SEE A THING! ! ! My mother told her once that they couldn't see and the lady said that she was going to take just a few pictures. . .This went on through the first 2 quarters of the game. . .By the middle of the 2nd quarter my father was pissed. . .no other way to put it. . .he had made several comments and the woman wasn't getting the hint. . .Now, my dad can be one mean person so I kept telling him to be quite. . .He finally blew up. . .unfortunately I was the one he blew up at. . He picked up his stadium seat and told me to sit there and was literally yelling at me. . .Birddog got pissed and started getting after my dad - NOW REMEMBER WE ARE ON THE FIRST 3 ROWS AT THE 50 YARD LINE. . .I was telling them both to shut up and I just knew that Birddog was going to hit my dad. . .URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! ! ! Everyone was looking! ! ! It was absolutely horrible. . .
Now get this - the lady taking the pictures asked some little kids during the half-time show to sit down in front of her because they were standing at the railing watching. . .I was ready to fight (or at least chew her out), but I didn't say a word. . .She had the nerve to turn around and tell me to smile - I glared at her and said THERE IS NOTHING TO SMILE ABOUT, MY WHOLE NIGHT HAS BEEN RUINED. . .She said, "Is it because of me?" - URRRRR - I held back - I said, "He couldn't see", she said, "Well, why didn't he say anything?" Me, "He made several hints to you and trust me he was mad and he wouldn't have said anything nice." She, "I'm sorry." She changed places with some people she was sitting with and when they got back she told them. . .The woman with her said, "I knew that." The lady said, "Why didn't somebody say something?"
Okay, if you are sitting on the front row and have already been told that someone behind you can't see - have you not been told? I was PISSED and sat threw the whole game fighting back tears - 1 - because I could not believe the gawl of the woman in front of me; 2 - my dad yelling and dising me; and 3 - Birddog and my dad getting into it. . .I promise that night WILL NOT be repeated. . .
Anyway, I have had the most embarrassing moment of my life and WILL NOT BE SITTING ON THE 50 YARD LINE! I have not spoken to my dad since Friday night and I reamed Birddog big time. . .
There you have it MJ - my most embarrassing moment. . .

It's Game Day
Okay, where do I start - with Bud or Scoop? Hmmmmm. . .
Guess I'll start with Bud today. . .He and a friend, K, got mohawks last night. . .This wasn't a shocker because Bud has done this before. . .Bud and K tried to get the whole football team to do it but they were "chickens" according to the boys. . .Not that I was wild about the idea, but it is just hair. . .Supposedly, the team is to follow suit if they win their game tonight - we'll see - LOL. . .we all know how that goes. . .
The team they are playing tonight are quite a bit bigger. . .They have watched film and Bud claims that after the first quarter the other team gets lazy. . .guess that will be another - we'll see. . .
Please pray that the team will have fun and no injuries. . .
Now for Scoop. . .he's starting to go stir crazy. . .Today we get to take the bandage off his ankle and take a shower. . .YEEHAWWWW! ! ! He's ready. . .he doesn't care for the sponge bath stuff. . .LOL. . .We are to put a bandaid on the incision after his shower - so it isn't very big. . .
He has a ton of homework. . .unfortunately - he got all his books yesterday afternoon when Bud brought them home. . .so, busy, busy weekend. . .He is also given 4 days to get the work made up (# of days missed). . .The principal is going to give him a top locker and has agreed to let him carry a backpack into class - but knowing my son - he will have girls (the ones that bring him candy) carrying his books. . .
We have a full house of company this weekend - so I don't know if I'll get to blog this weekend. . .if not, HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND fellow bloggers!

:) (How boring am I? - Okay, don't answer that last one.) Okay - I won't answer this one. . .LOL
I hope I haven't disappointed anyone with my answers. . .

Oh How Fun. . .continued. . .
Here we go with some answers for you to get to know me. . .
Silly Hily said...
Have you had "the talk" with the boys yet? If so, how did you approach it? If not, when will you? Or will Birddog handle that?
It is so funny that you should ask this. . .Last year Bud had a girlfriend that I didn't care for. . .We don't have 2 living areas so the rule at our house is lights on door open so if we walk by we can see everything going on. . .I DO MEAN EVERYTHING! OMG! We had had the talk we don't want you boys to have sex, yadayada. . .Well, Birddog was working out of town and it was me and the boys. . she was here and I walked by. . .I took a double take! ! ! Bud and the girlfriend were playing touchy feely! I went in to his bedroom and ripped the blanket down and said, "We won't have this shit going on here!" and stomped out. . .The girl left and I immediately grabbed the phone and called Birddog. . .I was in total shock! Birddog called Bud and called him "stinky finger" and had a little discussion with him and told him that stuff was not to go on here. . . It was really hard for me because she came back 2 hours later! There is no way that if I had made a boyfriends parent(s) mad that I would go back that quick!
That weekend Bud and Birddog made a trip to Wally World. . .Birddog explained to Bud that we didn't condone him taking it any further but that if he felt that he could not wait to at least be safe and use protection. . .We bought Bud's first box of protection. . .
Scoop has sat back and watched (like my sister did) the things that we have done with Bud - hopefully, he is thinking. . .We have told both of them that we do not condone them having sex but if they find it necessary to at the very least buy condoms and if they were to embarrassed that we would get them no quesitons asked (my parents never even thought of doing something like that - it was forbidden!). . .
Hope that answered your question Silly.
Have you ever been arrested?
I can honestly say that no I have never been arrested. . .
What kind of beer do you drink? (I ask this b/c I totally see you being a beer drinker. Maybe I'm wrong.)
If I drink beer, I like Miller Genuine Draft. . .My drink of choice is Margaritas on the rocks!
Will we ever see a picture of you and/or Birddog?
I'm sure that one day I will be brave enough to post a pic of me on here. . .Hopefully I can get one of Birddog or of us together. . . We spend more time taking pictures of the boys than we do of ourselves. . .
Will you pursue a job/career once you graduate?
Yes, I do intend to pursue a career upon graduation. . .I have started my little part-time job and with any luck at all MW's business will grow enough that I can grow with it and put my education to use. If not, I will probably pursue other employment. I have a friend whose hubby is an accountant and have been told to talk to him.
How do you and Julie know each other?
Julie and I met in January 2005 in a Calculus class. She sat beside me and I asked if she understood what was going on. . .We hit it off right away. . .
And now for the juicy one b/c you know I have to ask at least one juicy on.....How, after 20 years of marriage and 2 grown boys in the house, do you and Birddog keep things "spicy"?
I guess the easiest way for us to keep it "spicy" is to be totally honest with each other. . .You would think that after all these years we would know everything about each other but we have our times that we surprise the other one. . . Occasionally one of us will buy the other a gift just because. We still play teenager - pinch each other on the butt, nibble ears, etc.

Phew! That's Over! ! !
Surgery went well. Scoop doesn't get to go to school at all this week - which we all know that he's really upset over that - LOL. . .
He will be on crutches for 4 weeks and then will be allowed to put weight back on his ankle. . .
Thank you everyone for your encouraging words and prayers. . .We really appreciate it!
Oh How Fun. . .continued. . .
Well, it's the morning of the surgery. . .keeping myself busy until it's time to go. . .Thank you Songbird and Karmyn for your encouraging words. . .It took Scoop and I both a while to go to sleep last night. . .I slept with him. . .In a few hours this will be over and we'll be on our road to recovery! I'm ready and I know he is too!
To continue on with my answers to your questions. . .
Songbird said...
1. Do you have any siblings?
I have one sister TA who is four and a half years younger than me. We are complete opposites - she being the prissy one.
2. How old were you when you married?
I was 21 when Birddog and I were married. . .
3. What are some of your personal interests besides blogging?
I really enjoy doing things to my house, just don't have a lot of time to do those things. . .As a family we go snow skiing, boating, and camping. But you all already know that my biggest interests are the things Bud and Scoop are involved in.
4. What type(s) of music do you listen to?
I listen to a variety of music. . .It would probably be safe to say that classic (soft) rock is probably my favorite with Country right behind.
5. What is your favorite flower?
My favorite flower is the Hibiscus. . .

1. Who is your best friend? How did you meet?
My best friend was Robin. We met in high school. Unfortunately, I lost her 19 years ago to a motorcycle accident. I have never met or been as comfortable with anyone else since. We knew everything about each other.
2. Going the high school year book route here: What is your biggest pet peeve.
My BIGGEST PET PEEVE EVER is someone who chews with their mouth open. . .It just makes me livid!
3. Following the same theme, what is your most embarrassing moment? Come on, I fessed up to mine!
Wowzers M J! I'm having to think about this one. . .You know as humans we forget the things we don't want to remember. . .LOL :). . .I will come back to this question because at the moment I am drawing a complete blank.

IF you were a tree what kind would it be?
Signed. Barara Walters
Wow, a tree? Um. . .I am going to say a Redbud because it's branches aren't far from the ground and the pretty pink flowers give me a smile. . .Boy do I sound like a lush. . .I say this because I am just a person, easy going but I love to put smiles on peoples faces. . .
(I thought about doing this as an anonymous post, but since you've had some unpleasant ones there I just decided to be silly) Awe, come on! Anon doesn't bother me . . .LOL . . . added some spice to the blogging world. . .LOL
What kind of mother in law do you think you will be?
I hope to be a MIL (hope that is a while away) that doesn't poke her nose in where it doesn't belong (even tho I know I will want to) but be supportive and able to help them when they need it.
What kind of mother in law do you have?
Oh boy! This could be a many parter! ! ! Birddog and I have not spoken to my MIL in almost 3 years now. . .I think she has dementia AND I'M NOT KIDDING. . .Birddog is the baby and trust me - she knows everything - no matter how long we have been married and what he says! One day I will have to post about her because it could go on and on and on. . .like an Everyready battery. . .It's a funny BUT SAD story. . .The lady gave me a wonderful man and I think it is because of the things he went through growing up that he is the way that he is. . .
On the other hand, I am one of those people that has 2 MIL's. Birddog's stepmother is a nice lady. . .She hosts family gatherings. . .but is a planner - to the minute and months in advance - LOL - yeah right - not from Birddog's group.
Has that thought even crossed your mind about what will happen when those boys grow up and fall in love?
I have thought about it. . .If Bud continues to date girls like JJ he will be happy. . .Scoop is picky about the type of girls he dates (not that he can drive) and he and his brother have about the same likes and dislikes in girls. I have been known to tell the boys if I like or dislike the girl they are interested in.

Oh How Fun!
Well, I was going to wait and start answering questions tomorrow but I'm getting nervous about Scoop's surgery so I'm gonna start tonight. . .

WOO HOO - I get to ask the first question....one personal, one fun:
Okay, personal: You have 2 boys - did you ever consider trying for a 3rd child (and/or a girl?
I thought about it but Birddog really didn't want anymore children. . .There are times that I wish we had a girl, until I get around girls that are younger than Scoop (girls in general). LOL - I have a difficult time dealing with girls. . .Way to prissy! My boys are tough and if we had had a girl she probably would have been the biggest TOMBOY ever. . .
fun question - what is your favorite thing to do that doesn't involve your boys?
Wow! This one is a hard one. . .My life revolves around my boys so much. . .Karmyn you are really making me think. . .If you mean doesn't include Bud and Scoop it would be just spending time with Birddog. . .We have always had a good time together going to car races, etc. If you are referring to just ME, MYSELF and I - I would have to say that it would probably be doing some sort of home makeover. . .I love updating and using my imagination. . .I haven't had much time to do any of that lately and have really missed it.
I have more fun questions from Songbird that I will answer tomorrow. . . Keep asking and I will answer. . .

I'm So Proud of My Boys!
Okay, I've earned bragging rights! ! ! Scoop's first football game of the season was totally awesome! They lost but Scoop played an awesome JV game - Thursday Night! He had four completed passes!
Unfortunately, it will be the only game he gets to play this season. . .During the first quarter something happened and he hurt his ankle. . .Bud was on the sidelines (as a supporting varsity player) and Scoop told him his ankle really hurt and he thought he broke it. . .A coach taped the ankle up and Scoop continued to play. . After the game, we had a mom of a friend of ours look his ankle over. . .there wasn't a whole lot of swelling at the time and no discoloration. . .She told me to call the Dr. office the next morning if I wanted it looked at further. . .
I let the boys sleep in and they attended a mandatory breakfast for the team then Bud brought Scoop to see me. . .OMG! ! ! I started making the phone calls. . .His foot and ankle were really swollen and he wouldn't put any weight on it. :(
At 11:00 we were sitting in an exam room waiting. . .x-rays were taken, g-ma Marie (the friends mom) and g-ma Bert (another friends mom) were both there (they are both nurses). . The doctor and physicians assistant could not believe he played the WHOLE game on his ankle and were really shocked when they were told he was also punting.
Scoop fractured his ankle and broke his growth plate and will have surgery to put a screw in his growth plate on Tuesday morning. . .This is the first broken bone that either of our children have had. . .
Scoop will be supporting his fellow CHISHOLM LONGHORNS on the sidelines for the rest of the season. . :(
Please pray that his nerves will calm down. . .He is really nervous about this. . .I'm really proud of him! But, at the same time I'm mad at him for not SPEAKING UP, Screaming or Something! ! !
On another note - - -
Bud had an awesome game also - Friday night! He had 3 completed passes and an interception. Bud had 4 touchdowns!
The team needed this win and they darn sure got it! 57-13! They broke a losing streak that the local newspaper has definately made sure their readers knew that last season was a 0-10 for the Longhorns. . .Here's a link to our local newspaper to read the story! Like I said - I'm bragging. . .If you're able to see the pictures (homepage - slideshow white with red uniforms), Bud is #6. . .:)
Be ready fellow Bloggers! I hope to be posting a lot of Brags in posts and we aren't publishing any more injury stories!

What Did I Do?
I seem to have a fellow blogger that doesn't care for my way of thinking. . .Below are some comments that were made on my Blog from other fellow bloggers that have picked up on the commenter who calls him/herself Anonymous. . .

Not related to this post, but am I dreaming or does your anonymous commenter seem to have some issues with you?!!!

I picked up on that too.
For some reason Anonymous thinks that I'm a woss or something because I was grossed out at Micky D's when the manager had green snot hanging between her lip and nostril and was handling food. . .

And you grew up on a so-called farm? I would have thought you would have a stronger stomach than that. Why wouldn't you tell her it was there? She was probably sniffing hoping it would not be seen not knowing it was already in sight. Poor lady.
And, then made a comment on my "Don't Dish It Out If You Can't Take It".

BUT - on the other hand, do you really know what your son is teasing this boy about? Has your son maybe taken it too far?
If a parent has to step in, sometimes it is for the better. Teens can be cruel to each other. Is it not better that she brought it to your attention instead of letting it esculate to something more (like a fist fight or heaven forbig gunshots?)
I replied:
Actually anonymous - I do know because "Farmer" told me. . .Just as I stated in my post. . .Teasing about it not being a Chevy. . .
If "Whinebag" would keep his mouth shut half the time it wouldn't have come to him getting teased. . .
Sorry, but you HAVE TO KNOW THIS KID. . .and the kids that are accused of this would NEVER use guns to solve this goofy little deal. . .
The boys that "Whinebag" has complained about to his momma have been told to keep their mouths shut and leave him alone. . . Therefore, "Whinebag" will now have FEWER friends than he already did because of past incidents just as this one. . . .
Sorry, but in this case it's a bunch of pooh!
I found this site through a friend's site and thought I would throw my two cents in. It sounds to me like this is being blown way out of proportion.
Does your so-called friend, Farmer, know that you write this blog? What will happen if she finds out?
I replied yet again:
My FRIEND knows I have a blog. As far as what happens it she finds it, I don't know. . .Wait and see if it happens. . .
Yes, "Farmer" is my friend. . .Just like with anyone, you don't agree with everything they do - I'm sure there are things about me that she doesn't like and hasn't said to me, just as I with her.
Anonymous, please continue coming back. . .I'm just sorry that you have issues with me that I am unaware of. . .
Suggestions anyone?
